Network Planner – Call Center Network Design

Network Planner – Network planning evaluates the existing network architecture, it’s utilization, and future market demand(s), and then applies their knowledge of new IP technology, network evolution, and financial modeling to produce an optimal documented recommendation for evolving the existing network to meet future market demand. 

There is an immediate opportunity in Network Planning for an individual that possesses planning skills, with an emphasis on designing a National Call Center IP network based on the Noble platform. This individual will develop network design documentation, evaluate options of optimization and redundancy, interface with operations to facilitate repair responses and interface with the call center vendor for the Frontier call center network.

The following are the minimum requirements for consideration.

Minimum Requirements –

• 10 years of Telecommunications Engineering/Operations Experience – ILEC, CLEC or IXC.
• 3 of the 10 years must be specific to Voice & Data Network Design – including network and circuit records, off net circuit orders, equipment selection, IP/ATM/TDM network/circuit design, VoIP, Broadband Access design, circuit sizing/traffic theory, project costing, and project implementation.
• Analytical Skills – Must be able to analyze various streams of data (written, verbal, etc) and understand the real issues.
• Leadership Skills – Must have experience with leading a group of individuals from different disciplines to define requirements, develop a plan, implement the plan and resolve roadblocks.
• Presentation Skills – Must be comfortable presenting and be able to provide appropriate level of materials to all audiences – executive, engineering, marketing, and customer.
• Writing Skills – Must have good writing ability.
• Computer Skills – Must be proficient with MS Office – Excel, Word, Power Point and Visio.
• Travel – Position requires occasional travel.

Additional Preferred Requirements –

• Bachelor Degree – science or math major
• Equipment Experience – Voice and data transport equipment (optical and copper), LANs, WANs, Call Center equipment - Noble Systems or equivalent
• But have good writing skills and consultant profile (background) who can discover issues, make recommendations and document all findings. 
• Some traveling required position based out of DFW.
